A Scalable Arrangement Method for Aperiodic Array Antennas to Reduce Peak Sidelobe Level

چکیده

Peak sidelobe level reduction (PSLR) is crucial in the application of large-scale array antenna, which directly determines radiation performance antenna. We study PSLR subarray aperiodic arrays and propose three structures: dislocated subarrays with uniform elements (DSUE), random (USRE), (DSRE). To optimize dislocation position elements, improved Bat algorithm (IBA) applied. draw comparison effect among these structures, we take size antennas from small to large as examples simulate calculate redundancy peak (PSLL) them. The results show that DSRE optimal structure by analyzing distance subarray, scanning angle applicable frequency. proposed design method a universal scalable method, great value

A Thinning Method of Linear And Planar Array Antennas To Reduce SLL of Radiation Pattern By GWO And ICA Algorithms

In the recent years, the optimization techniques using evolutionary algorithms have been widely used to solve electromagnetic problems. These algorithms use thinning the antenna arrays with the aim of reducing the complexity and thus achieving the optimal solution and decreasing the side lobe level. To obtain the optimal solution, thinning is performed by removing some elements in an array thro...

Reducing the Sidelobe Level of Reflectarray Antennas Using Phase Perturbation Method

Phase Perturbation Method (PPM) is introduced as a new phase-only synthesis method to design reflectarray antennas so as their sidelobe level is reduced. In this method, only the reflected phase of conventional unit cells are perturbed from their required values. To this end, two approaches namely the conventional Optimization method and newly introduced Phase to Amplitude Approximation (PAA) m...

Control of Peak Sidelobe Level in Adaptive Arrays - Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Transactions on

AbstructAdaptive beamforming techniques are now widely used to reject interference Uammerklutter) signals in radar, communication, and sonar applications. In adaptive arrays using the sample matrix inversion (SMI) algorithm, inadequate estimation of the covariance matrix results in adaptive antenna patterns with high sidelobes and distorted mainbeams. In this paper, a method is proposed to prec...

A Design Method for Array Antennas

An array antenna is generally designed by using the array factor. The designed antenna hasn’t been desired characteristics because the mutual coupling between elements isn’t taken into account for the design. In this paper a quantitative design method for an array antenna above the infinite ground plane is proposed. The fundamental idea of this method is the input impedance correction of each a...

Improved bounds on the peak sidelobe level of binary sequences

Schmidt proved in 2014 that if ε > 0, almost all binary sequences of length n have peak sidelobe level between ( √ 2 − ε)√n log n and ( √ 2 + ε) √ n log n. Because of the small gap between his upper and lower bounds, it is difficult to find improved upper bounds that hold for almost all binary sequences. In this note, we prove that if ε > 0, then almost all binary sequences of length n have pea...
